About the event

Permission to Breathe: COP Men’s Edition

Featuring Keynote Speaker: Patrick Tshiovo, Executive Director, RE/ACT Winnipeg

This edition of Permission to Breathe is created at the request of men from the Church of Pentecost Winnipeg who sought a safe, guided space to talk through the unique pressures immigrant men face. Led by Yélodo’s complex trauma consultant, this session opens honest conversations on career and relationships, and is open to all men

This edition explores the real‑life pressures newcomer and first‑generation men carry — navigating work, expectations, identity, and family roles while managing unspoken stress. Through culturally aware facilitation and practical tools, participants examine how trauma and migration shape their experiences at home and in the workplace.

The keynote will be delivered by Patrick Tshiovo, Executive Director of RE/ACT Winnipeg, whose expertise in trauma‑informed recovery and emotional regulation offers men clear, grounded insight into patterns that affect their careers and relationships.
