Gloria Thompson

Board Chair/President

Gloria Thompson is the Board President of Yélodo Inc., bringing strong governance leadership, project management expertise, and a proven track record in program development  and analysis. As a founder and strategic lead, she guides organizational direction, strengthens operational systems, and ensures programs are designed with clarity, cultural awareness, and measurable impact. With experience supporting local nonprofits in building trauma‑informed, community‑centered initiatives, Gloria contributes disciplined oversight, strategic planning, and a steady, people‑first leadership presence that advances Yélodo’s mission and deepens community well‑being.

Michael Imoru

Vice Chair/President

Michael Imoru is an experienced business analyst and systems strategist who brings strong governance, operational insight, and data‑driven leadership to his role as Vice Chair. With over five years supporting complex digital transformation projects across healthcare, hospitality, and community organizations, he strengthens board decision‑making through structured analysis and stakeholder facilitation. His experience leading end‑to‑end business analysis, improving operational systems, and supporting project delivery, positions him as a key contributor to Yélodo’s strategic planning, program evaluation, and long‑term organizational sustainability

Agnes Edun

Secretary

Agnes Edun is an experienced business development specialist and community‑focused leader in Winnipeg, bringing strategic planning, partnership development, and operational discipline to her role as a board director. With a background in business development, customer experience, and organizational support, she strengthens governance through clear decision‑making, systems thinking, and a results‑driven approach. Agnes contributes cultural awareness, strategic insight, and a commitment to building sustainable, high‑impact programs that advance Yélodo’s mission and deepen community well‑being.

Dorcas Brown

Treasurer

Dorcas Brown is a human resources coordinator and community leader in Winnipeg, bringing strong organizational leadership, people‑centered decision‑making, and deep community insight to her role as a board director. With experience supporting HR operations at The Salvation Army and leading newcomer and student initiatives through the Ghana Students Union of Manitoba, Bear Clan Patrol, and Winnipeg Harvest, she contributes strategic governance, cultural intelligence, and a steady, service‑driven leadership presence to Yélodo’s mission.

Gode Katembo

Director

Gode Katembo is the founder and CEO of the Canada African Cup of Nations (CACN), a community leader using sport to empower newcomer youth and build belonging in Winnipeg. Originally from the DRC, his lived experience as a refugee shapes his commitment to creating safe, culturally grounded spaces for young people to thrive.

Gloria Dovoh

Director

Gloria Dovoh is a grants program officer and community development leader in Winnipeg, bringing deep expertise in trust‑based philanthropy, nonprofit capacity‑building, and strategic program design. With experience across organizations such as The Winnipeg Foundation, Volunteer Manitoba, ACOMI, and the Ethnocultural Council of Manitoba, she strengthens governance through evidence‑based decision‑making, equity‑centered leadership, and a strong understanding of community needs. Gloria contributes strategic insight, partnership development, and a commitment to building sustainable, high‑impact initiatives that support grassroots organizations and advance community well‑being.
